Tom Leader

Tom has been working in studios since he was 17 years old and really should know better by now. Like Kirsten he has recorded all styles of music and almost any musical instrument that you can think of. For a fairly full listing of his recordings you can go to allmusic.com.

Starting at Livingston Studios in 1977 and working for Nick Kinsey he worked on many well respected recordings of folk/bluegrass music. He also spent a lot of time working with renowned hit writer Russ Ballard who would come into Livingston and record 4 songs just about every week. All this recording with microphones stood him in good stead when he went to Angel Studios in 1982. At Angel Tom worked with bands as well as learning the skills of orchestral recording. Working with people such as Anne Dudley, Howard Goodall, The Cure, Courtney Pine, Tim Souster and Karl Jenkins Tom recorded for CD, film and far too many adverts. Along the way some very good music happened.

In 1992 Tom left Angel and went freelance. Luckily for him Kirsten suggested that they start LCL Digital together and with people such as Nick Gold, of World Circuit, and Jerry Boys being enthusiastic clients of the business from the start they are now entering their 17th year.
